Farr Shepherd is a 24-year veteran of the luxury residential and commercial technology industry, with a deep-rooted passion for education and a commitment to helping others build thriving service organizations. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Management and Information Systems and has founded and operated more than seven technology-focused companies, each centered on delivering exceptional service and driving recurring revenue growth.
Farr founded Decypher Technologies after beginning his career in systems integration, building it into a boutique Managed Service Provider serving high-net-worth families and businesses across the U.S. and internationally. He later took on a leadership role at a Colorado-based technology firm with over 200 employees, further expanding his experience in scaling service organizations. Under Farr’s leadership, Decypher has earned national recognition—including a spot on the Inc. 5000 list of Fastest-Growing Private Companies in 2023, a 2024 Cybersecurity Excellence Award, and selection as a winner in Corporate Vision Magazine’s 2024 Security Awards, which honors standout companies driving innovation and leadership in the global security space.
Farr later founded SpecOp Secure, a company dedicated to empowering custom integrators with the tools, training, and support they need to succeed. SpecOp offers scalable, high-performance solutions—including Network-as-a-Service (NaaS), Cellular DAS, predictive Wi-Fi design, fiber design, cybersecurity, and internal IT support. But at the core of SpecOp’s mission is education: equipping partners with the knowledge and guidance to grow their businesses, boost RMR, and deliver innovative, reliable results their clients can trust.
Farr is committed to advancing industry standards. As a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the CEDIA Residential Networking Specialist (RNS) Exam Task Force, he helps shape the best practices that guide secure network design across the industry. He holds multiple certifications, including Cisco CCDA and CEDIA RNS, and brings a practical, real-world approach to teaching—grounded in decades of experience, and driven by a belief that better education leads to better business.
